Assuming you’re starting your tour from Ouarzazate, here’s a possible itinerary for a 4 days tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga via Zagora. Zagora on the first day, Tafraout Sidi Ali on the second day, and Merzouga on the third and for fourth days we will come back to Ouarzazate.
In the morning, you can depart from Ouarzazate and drive south towards Zagora, passing through the Draa Valley, which is known for its palm groves, kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages. You can make a stop at the Kasbah Tamnougalt, an ancient fortified village that dates back to the 17th century. You can also visit the Draa Valley's markets and souks to experience the local culture
After breakfast, you can head towards Tafraout Sidi Ali, a small village in the heart of the Draa Valley. Here, you can visit the Sidi Ali mosque, which dates back to the 12th century and is known for its unique architecture. You can also explore the village's ancient kasbahs and enjoy some traditional Berber food.
On the third day, you can drive towards Merzouga, a small town on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you can experience a camel trekking excursion to watch the sunset over the desert dunes. You can spend the night in a traditional Berber camp and enjoy some Berber music and food.
On the final day of your tour, you can wake up early and watch the sunrise over the desert. You can then return to Ouarzazate, stopping at the Todra Gorge and Dades Valley along the way. These natural wonders are known for their stunning scenery, and you can take a short hike to explore the area. Overall, this itinerary provides a good mix of cultural and natural experiences, allowing you to explore some of the best attractions in southern Morocco.
