The 12 days tour from marrakech travels along the coast to the lovely city of Essaouira. Your Merzouga camel trekking route will take you past abandoned sandy beaches, craggy cliff tops, the Argan tree, and actual fishing settlements.
As a constant attendant, you will experience the majestic sea views and the roar of the thunderous Atlantic waves. One of our most knowledgeable and skilled local guides leads the camel trekking tour in the Erg Chebbi dunes (Merzouga), assisted by the camp and kitchen teams. We’ll have a camel convoy transport our luggage.
However, the end of our adventure will include relaxing free time in both Chefchaouen and the legendary city of Marrakech.
Spend time in souks (traditional markets), which provide a variety of things for sale, including handwoven crafts and regional specialties. Stay in Moroccan riads or old-style homes.
When you arrive at the airport, we will meet you and drive you to your hotel or riad.
Arrive at the Medina to meet the local guide who will lead you on a walking tour, eat lunch in the center of the ancient town, then head to Majorelle Garden before spending the night in Marrakech.
Travel to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Cinematographic Centers and Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Ouarzazate, overnight.
Travel to Merzouga, passing through Rose Valley, stopping at Todgha Gorge, and spending the night there.
Explore the Merzouga region, listen to some Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia, then return to the hotel to ride the camels for your one-night stay in the Sahara desert, where you may sleep under the cover of stars in the open sky.
We will continue our 12 days tour from marrakech today by exploring the desert. The highest dunes in Morocco, those of Erg Chebbi, are reached by camels. We’ll also stop by a Berber family and a Gnawa music-filled community called Khamlia.
We’ll stop at a palm-fringed oasis and some nomadic Berber people nearby. We ride camels through the sand dunes to our desert camp after lunch at Merzouga.
We will camp out in the middle of the Sahara desert for the night and listen to Berber drum music. The desert dawn and sunset are also beautiful. We have a traditional Moroccan meal and then spend the night in a tent in the desert.
Travel to Midelt, stop in Rissani and Ziz Valley, then pass Errachidia before spending the night there.
Travel to Fes while exploring the Middle Atlas Mountains and feeding the monkeys in the Azrou’s Majestic Ceder Woods. Overnight in Fes after crossing Ifrane.
Visit the tanneries and ceramics of the town while exploring the medieval medina of Fes with a local guide. Spend the night in a classic riad in Fes.
After leaving Fes, travel to Volubilis, or “the Roman remains,” have lunch in Meknes, and spend the night in Rabat.
Visit the historical sites in Rabat, travel to Casablanca, eat lunch or a drink at Rick’s Café, or travel to Marrakech to spend time by the Atlantic Ocean.
Our 12 Days Desert Trip From Marrakech ends at your airport after finishing last-minute shopping and packing.
